Installing the Latest APK – Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Preparation
Verify device compatibility
Ensure the Android device meets the minimum OS version required by the APK.
Check available storage space (at least 100MB free recommended).
Backup existing data (if necessary)
Backup POS data, sales records, or other important files in case of app replacement.
Enable installation from unknown sources
Go to Settings → Security / Privacy → Install unknown apps.
Select the browser, file manager, or app (e.g., Chrome, Files) you will use to open the APK.
Enable Allow from this source.
4. Remote Assistance
Ask the client to provide their AnyDesk address for the remote session.
Confirm that the client’s device is connected to the internet and ready for remote access.
Once received, initiate the remote session to perform the necessary tasks (e.g., PTU printing, APK installation, or troubleshooting).
2. Download the Latest APK
Access the official source or shared link from ClickUp, Drive, or company portal.
Confirm the APK file name and version match the latest release.
Download the file to the device (usually stored in Downloads folder).
3. Remove Old Version (if required)
If the app is already installed, uninstall the old version:
Go to Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Uninstall.
Confirm removal.
Some APKs support direct update without uninstalling. Check company instructions.
4. Install the APK
Open the file manager and locate the downloaded APK.
Tap the APK file → follow on-screen prompts:

Clear app cache: Settings → Apps → [App Name] → Storage → Clear Cache
Restart the device and reopen the app
